This is our timeline for our build. I’ll try to keep it updated.

24 Sept 2016 – met with H from Metricon

25 Sept 2016 – completed Expression of Interest paperwork for both house and land and paid small deposits

12 October 2016 – signed land contract

30 October 2016 – signed Prelim house contract

2nd November – initial Finance approval date – requested 2 week extension

7th/8th November – survey plan for land sealed by council, soil testing starting

16th November – extended Finance date 1 – requested 2 week extension
– completed selections at Studio M, tile studio and Stratus electrical

2nd December – signed house contract

3rd December – extended Finance date 2 – requested 2 + week extension

1 January and 8 January – signed loan contracts

20 January – met site manager on land and completed pre-construction meeting

Build week 1:

25 January – construction started (Contract period: 25 Jan to 24 July = 180 days)

Build week 2:

4 February – house slab poured

Build week 3:

8 February – received and paid Slab invoice

Buld week 4:

17 February – house frame completed

19 February – received and paid Frame invoice

Build week 5:

24 February – roof completed

Build week 6:

1 March – solar panels installed

3 March – window installation completed

Build week 7:

10 March – rough-ins completed (electrical, gas, plumbing)

Build week 8:

15 March – bricks and plastering started

Build week 9:

23 March – architraves and doors hung

24 March – received (22 March) and paid Enclosed invoice

Build week 10:

31 March – waterproofing, cabinets installed, garage door installed

Build week 11:

4 April – electrical cut and trip, tiling started

Build week 12:

12 April – received and paid Fixing invoice

13 April – walk through for tiling

Build week 13:

18 April – external inspection completed for Fixing stage,
– signed variation to have gutter cut out for driveway

19 April – painting started

Build week 15:

2-5 May – plumbing fitoff, electrical fitoff, tech package installed, solar completed

Build week 16:

8 May – ceiling insulation installed

9 May – pre-PCI

10 May – security screens installed, windows adjusted

15 May – carpets and laminate flooring installed

Build week 17:

17-18 May – driveway laid

19 May – received final invoice

Build week 18:

25 May – PCI – processed paperwork to bank for payment (cheque)

Build week 20:

9 June – Handover (135 days since build start, 45 days prior to contracted finish)

Post-handover week 1-2:

10 June – Fantastic Furniture delivered

PROPOSED 12-16 June – fencing, landscaping

PROPOSED 12 June – gas installation

PROPOSED 13 June – white goods delivered/installed

PROPOSED 16 June – air conditioning installed

PROPOSED 24 June – moving day
